The description

This product is a tub of Greek yogurt with manuka honey, and I purchased it from my local independent supermarket. It was priced at 216 yen including tax.

The good

Did you see in the news that yogurt is the new buzzy breakfast food, given the price of rice is still quite high? It's a food I eat regularly, and this Greek yogurt option with manuka honey is a nice, simply sweet one that pairs well with granola or fresh fruit. It contains Lactobacillus thermophilus bacteria, which is good for digestive health (an easy way to do something good for your body!) and the honey is authentic manuka honey sourced from New Zealand. Portion-wise this is a smaller size tub than some other brands, but that has its positives, too -- it's good for a lighter snack or paired with something else to make it a more rounded meal.

The not so good

In terms of size and value for money, I do think that this one isn't the best option out there. My personal favorite for Greek yogurt for the value/size considerations is Aeon's Top Valu brand, but it's only stocked at Aeon supermarkets. Taste-wise though, this is a really good option. The yogurt itself is thick and creamy, and the honey adds some pleasant sweetness in a natural way. As I mentioned above, it pairs really nicely with granola or cereal mixed in, or even with fresh fruit. I'd probably buy it again, but given the choice of other brands I would probably opt for a larger tub that was a bit more filling.
