My favorite place in summer

Every year since meeting my husband, we have taken a small trip in the summer to the mountains. On the car ride up the temperature outside the car drops a full six to ten degrees Celcius. That is a great deal even during a heatwave. We almost didn't get to go this year, but we made it out there and enjoyed the icy waters and some barbeque. I also enjoy that every year our spot on the river changes depending on where we can find a secluded spot. Luckily every year so far we have. 

It is these little spaces in this overcrowded country that I love. 

It feels adventurous and I wouldn't be able to do it without my husband's help.

It is also so much cooler up in the mountains that they still have June flowers blooming in late August.
