The zealous solicitor

Two years ago, a man selling English language learning supplies stopped by our house. He was so enthusiastic about getting his marketing across, I let him come in and give his spiel. Two hours later, even through my son's nap, this guy was still trying to sell his product to a native English speaker. Has anyone else encountered enthusiastic solicitors as this? My son was happy he got a free balloon and hat out of it.
