Yubari Melon (Cantaloupe) Latte

I just wrote about how much a dislike cantaloupe, and now I am following it up with a post about a cantaloup latte in a can. Do I like torturing myself? No, but I did have a sip of this after my son begged and pleaded with me to buy him a can from the vending machine. After the gummies he ate the other day, he must have formed a strong fondness for said melon. As an obliging parent, I let him have it as his treat for the day. His reaction wasn't what I had suspected. He repeated quietly to himself, "it isn't melon soda. It isn't melon", while gently sipping it's contents. From the sip I had, it certainly isn't melon soda. It was just like it's name suggests, a milky cantaloupe. If it had been frozen, it probably would make a pretty good ice cream, nasty cantaloupe-ness aside. When I asked if he enjoyed it, he bubbled up with a clear and crisp "Yep!" and a full thumbs up.
