Buying mud at the store for dirt balls

I had a bit of a laugh with my husband the other day because I found a kit to make your own dirtballs. It is amusing to me because the idea of buying dirt seems pointless when we live on this giant layer of dirt beneath our feet. My husband's response was that Japanese will buy anything you are willing to sell them.

I kinda want to make birt balls now with my kids.
