(1) Lecture on international understanding: Senegal, a country of hospitality

Date&Time: Sep. 30 (Sun), 10:30-12:00

Fee: 500 yen (with tea and sweets)

To Apply: Starting from 10:00 on Sep. 1 (Sat), please call, email or come to the Lounge to apply.

(2) Japanese Classes

Date&Time: Thursday class: 18:30-20:00, Friday class: 10:30-12:00, and Saturday class: 13:30-15:00 between Sep. 6 and Oct. 4.

Fee: Free

Eligibility: Non-Japanese

(3) Children’s Study Meet-up

Let’s study together with teachers and volunteers.

Date&Time: Sep. 8 (Saturday), 15, 22, and 29; 10:00-12:00

Fee: Free

Eligibility: Elementary and Jr. high school children whose mother tongue is not Japanese

(4) Hello Gathering “Moon viewing and Koto performance”

Koto is a zither-like Japanese musical instrument about 180 cm long and 30 cm wide with 13 strings played horizontally by a player seated on the floor and using plectrums on the fingers of the right hand.

Eligibility: Everyone is welcome.

(5) International Mothers’ Gathering “Piccolo”

Date&Time: Sep. 11 and 25 (Tue), 10:30-11:30

Fee: Free

Eligibility: Non-Japanese moms *Contact the Lounge and apply ahead of the time if you are Japanese national.

Location for all events: Hodogaya International Lounge, Iwama Shimin Plaza (2 min walk from Tenno-cho Stn on the Sotetsu Line)
