I'm always wary of Amazon products as not all are high quality, but this particular line of futons has a 4.5 review rating from Amazon customers. I've been sleeping on this futon for two months now and am very pleased with how it's kept its loft. It's a very comfortable futon to sleep on. The cover is made of high-thread count cotton and polyester has durable piping on the edges. The fill is 50% wool which is breathable and releases moisture to prevent mildew. It's as fresh feeling and smelling like the day it arrived. The company, based in Tochigi Prefecture, contributes 3% of the purchase price of this futon to disaster relief. The company's ethic shows in their product and their policy.

I don't have any complaints about this particular futon, and I'm considering ordering pillows and kakebuton comforters from them in the future. One thing that might present a difficulty if your living space is tight is the bulk of the futon. Ofuton Kobo recommends leaning this very stiff and thick futon against a wall when you have to air it out indoors. It's rigid enough to keep its shape standing up against a wall or chair. A single futon is easy enough to manage in a small space, but the semi-double and double sizes might be a bit unwieldy.
