Kasukabe Summer Festival 2019

Kasukabe City has one of the earliest summer festivals in my area, on July 14th and 15th.

The usually quiet station front street gets pretty lively with dasha floats, omikoshi shouldered by young folks, waidaiko drumming and summer festival dancing. 

It’s not a massive festival like others in bigger cities, but I think that’s part of what makes it fun.The crowds are smaller, the atmosphere more intimate.
