Sometimes, when you're traveling or commuting far from home, you have a need to change out of your innerwear. When I was on a day trip in Tokyo on a sweltering summer day, I dropped in on a FamilyMart convenience store to see what I could find to replace my sodden tank top. This camisole made of polyester and other fibers fit the bill. The package indicated the measurements, so I didn't have to guess if L size was adequate. The fabric has held up well, the fabric is quick-drying, and I have considered getting another one.

This camisole from the Convenience Wear brand has stood up well to many washings and hasn't lost its shape. The fabric doesn't appear to pill easily. It's okay value for 1100 yen. I could have gone to a staple clothing retail shop, but that would have required navigating a shopping center and finding a suitable item from racks and racks of clothing. So in that respect, convenience store innerwear is really that - convenient. The price isn't that much higher than a comparable item from a clothing retail shop.
