I've gravitated to Ghana chocolate, the long-selling chocolate bar brand. IT was one of the first chocolate treats I experienced. The dark chocolate is especially smooth. Lotte Confectionery's Ghana brand chocolate bars added a new flavour in April 2025. Ghana Matcha Chocolate is a 45-gram bar of white chocolate flavoured with Uji matcha tea produced in Kyoto. The tablet of chocolate is a dark chartreuse colour, has a lovely aroma, and distinctive matcha flavour. The combo of milk chocolate and Uji tea is reminiscent of matcha milk.

Ghana Matcha Chooclate is has rich flavour, is reasonably priced, and easy to find at convenience stores. I have no complaints about this treat. Note that this chocolate bar is made with white chocolate. Besides the difference in colour, the white chocolate is made with less cocoa content, so it has a lighter, smoother flavour. That's what makes it such a good foil for matcha tea flavours. The packaging is, as always, minimal - a paper box with foil wrapping. The simple packaging is one of the appeals.
