In April 2025, Coca-Cola added two new flavours to their PET bottle drink series. At a convenience store, I purchased Shain Maskatto, a Muscat grape-flavoured drink.
The good
In April 2025, Coca-Cola's introduced three new flavours in their Irohas fruit-flavoured water brand. You can choose from peach, muscat, and salt-lemon. The first one I tried is Shain Mascatto, Muscat-grape-flavoured water. These drinks are flat, made with Japanese-sourced water. The Muscat extract, according to the product website, comes from Nagano Prefecture. The package design is simple with a minimalist label. The colour of the drink is subtly green. It has a nice aroma and the taste isn't cloying or sweet.
The not so good
The drink goes down easy, isn't too sweet, and has a distinctive grape flavour. It's okay. Note that the label indicates no juice and 97 calories. On the plus side, it has Shine Muscat extract and added Vitamin B (Niacin). This product comes in a PET plastic bottle, a type of container I try to avoid with little success. The product label has an eco-conscious appeal - the bottles are made from 100% recycled PET plastic. Next time I need a drink on the go, I'll look out for the salt-lemon version which is meant to prevent heat stroke.
