The description
Suntory's Kodawari Sakaba Yuzu Sour is a canned version of the izakaya soda, juice, and shochu cocktail. This version is 5% alcohol and labeled as a winter product.
The good
One of the charms of the label, the retro font and the exclusive use of Japanese characters on the cans of Suntory Kodawari Sakaba drinks. It brings to mind drinking with buddies in a Showa-era izakaya. There's something comforting and nostalgic about it. Kodawari Sakaba ready to drink shochu highball this time is flavored with yuzu for winter. It's zippy with the winter citrus. It's a reasonable price, a little lower than similar canned chuhai drinks. It's a little on the sweet side so it's easy to drink.
The not so good
This is a nice ready to drink canned shochu highball drink. It's got a distinct yuzu citrus flavor. I guess you could make your own yuzu shochu highballs from scratch, but it takes a bit of effort. There's also the price to consider. The price of yuzu citrus can vary a lot, as can the quality of the fruit. Sometimes I find that other citrus in winter are considerably cheaper. The other consideration is that Kodawari Sakaba chuhais contain a lot of sugar. If you are minding calorie intake and sugar rushes, you might want to make your own or get sugar-free ones.
