Has summer come?

I’m not sure, but it’s starting to feel like it. It’s quite hot lately, not in the “sunny and breezy” way, but more like the “sticky and humid” kind of hot. I’m used to the heat in the Philippines, where the sun can be brutal, but somehow, Japan feels different. The humidity here hits you like a warm, wet blanket.

But you know what? One thing I really admire about Japan is how good the people are at creating clever products and inventions to beat the heat. From cooling sprays to ice pillows, UV-cut umbrellas, and even special summer clothes that feel like you’re wearing air. There is always something useful and innovative. It’s like summer doesn’t stand a chance with all these creative tools around.

Personally, I love the sun. There’s something about it that makes me feel alive and energized. But I guess I don’t love the super hot sun, the kind that drains you after a few minutes outside.

So yeah, I think I’ll start getting myself ready for summer in Japan. Hydrate, dress light, and maybe buy one of those cute handheld fans I always see people using. Summer’s coming, and I’m not letting it catch me off guard.
