The description
A box of 'classic' crackers with six mini packs of crackers. They are produced in Japan by Japanese company Yamazaki Biscuit. A little pricey for what you get.
The good
The Levain Classic Crackers seem to be produced in Japan, by Yamazaki Biscuit Company. According to the package, they are made within Japan. For many years I purchased another brand in the OK store, but it disappeared during the pandemic and hasn't resurfaced and in its place, these 'classic' crackers are now available. Maybe they were available before too, but they weren't on my radar. They are less salty than other brands. There are six packs in the box, with a few crackers wrapped individually, so they are handy for throwing in a bag when heading out for a day.
The not so good
They are a little pricey considering they are homegrown, so to speak. Although it is a good thing that are less salty than other brands, they are a little bland. They wouldn't be my first choice of crackers. But they do the trick and are suitable for spreading butter or jams on, or just eating plain. Another negative is that they are a little smaller than most crackers. Which in one way makes them useful as I can fit them in my handbag! But I would prefer if they were slightly larger and thus more substantial.
