This dessert is interesting in that you can feel the pumpkin ingredient. It has the same grainy texture as pumpkin pie filling and a mildly sweet flavour. Those who are not fans of the spiced pumpkin flavours of fall don’t need to worry about that with this item as there are no hints of spices at all. The whipped cream on top adds a bit to the variety and I used it only occasionally to keep the pumpkin pudding interesting. I also feel that the size of the package is a perfect serving. There is quite a bit of pudding in the cup that you get and I had eaten my fill before I got to the bottom of the cup.

Having not seen this before, this might be a seasonal item. Why it is being sold in late spring is a bit odd to me, as I feel it would sell better during the fall. I mentioned in the positives that there were no spice flavours in the pudding, there is a bit of a strange note at the bottom of the cup where a layer of caramel sits. The existence of this layer is not obvious from the outside, so I was taken off-guard. It overpowered the rest of the pudding when I got to it. This might have been intentional, however, as I was getting tired of the pumpkin flavour by then.
