The description
A cheaper energy drink created by the company owning MyBasket and MaxValu, AEON. It is branded as having the same stimulants as Monster and Red Bull but at a cheaper price.
The good
Energy Hunter, as far as I have seen, comes in two types: regular (red) and sugar-free (blue). I like to watch my calories, so I go with the blue one, which is labelled as having zero calories. The can is a nice shape and it’s easy to hold thanks to the bottleneck. Unlike Monster and Red Bull, this brand has a cap that you can close, so you don’t have to feel obligated to finish it before going on the train or being paranoid that you’ll spill it while you work or something. It also does the job of stimulating wakefulness.
The not so good
Thank goodness it has a cap on it. This way, you have the choice of not finishing this drink or taking your time to sip on it throughout the day. Its flavour is so bad that it doesn’t need whatever medicinal ingredients that go into it to wake you up; it’ll take your taste buds by surprise and your body will go into survival mode, thinking it's been poisoned by something. I avoided Red Bull for years, thinking it tasted like medicine, but Red Bull is like a cherry soda compared to the cough syrup that is Energy Hunter.
