Pizza Boxes CANNOT Be Recycled

Not sure if you know this, but pizza boxes are not recyclable.

This is because of the large amount of grease that the box has absorbed already. The grease would actually ruin other paper if they get mixed into the recycling.

In fact, I have seen several times that paper recycling was rejected because the person throwing out the paper had pizza boxes mixed in. I saw once that the recycling people actually picked out the boxes and left them back at the door.

Domino's pizza boxes actually do tell you to toss it into the trash after folding it up.

If you really want to, I do believe that the pizza box lids are generally clean enough to be recycled, and I think that would be a good thing to do.
