Cheap Drunk: The NEW Sapporo Gold Star (AWESOME)

Recently with the happoshu (low malt beer) tax hike, I feel that breweries have been trying to find ways to revamp their brand to increase sales.

Sapporo's Gold Star, for example, has been labelling their cans with the word NEW right on the can.

The can describes how they have increased the hops they use for Yebisu and for black label into making the Gold Star, and it really made a huge difference.

The flavour is really strong and vibrant. The taste is great, and it is still only below 130 yen. This was a great change and very much an improvement!
