A Jar of Preserved Sea Urchin, but....
I love sea urchins, or uni, especially when they are fresh.
They are also admittedly quite expensive, so I was quite excited by this jar of preserved sea urchin for just 400 yen.
I thought this would taste just like normal urchin but saltier.

However, there was a really weird taste to this. It was the taste of alcoholic, and really strong too.
It was so strong to the point that I questioned whether this was really edible.
Not wanting to waste money, however, I sucked it up and ate a good half jar of it with rice.

It was then that I had the thought of checking the internet, and some people suggested added soysauce to overcome the alcohol taste.
That worked really well, and I wish I had read that sooner. Either way, I do not think I will get this ever again.
