Tapioca Steamed Cake

With the craze of tapioca in Japan, I started finding stranger and stranger products. This steamed cake was one of them.

This bubble-tea-like steamed cake was interesting. The flavour was a good milk tea taste, but the weird thing was the tapioca pearls which had a very unique texture.

Looking at the ingredients, I realized that the pearls were indeed konnyaku, rather than tapioca. Overall, I thought it tasted good, but I would not say that I am a fan of eating cakes with konnyaku inside.
