Cheap Drunk: A Sexist Sour Plum's Drink?

I had criticized it cheap drink for being sexist before, and I thought I had found another one when I saw this Otoko-ume Sour.

Otoko-ume, or "manly plum" (or perhaps men's plum) sounded sexist for being yet another product that implies only men can take on these stronger flavours, but I learned upon researching that otoko-ume is actually a type of sour plum.

So, the drink itself is not sexist, but it is using a type of plum that is sexist, and it actually tastes pretty good if you enjoy sour plum flavoured candies more than actual umeboshi.

Ironically, the drink is a beautiful pink.

Overall, I quite enjoyed this drink for 130 yen.
