Cheap Drunk: Asahi's "Popular-at-Izakaya" Lemon Sour

Interesting that Asahi made a product is basically called "the lemon sour that is popular at izakayas".

I had no idea that izakayas use Asahi's products for lemon sours, but apparently they have been serving their products at izakayas for more than 35 years.

Either way, seeing it as a product in a can and sold for just 120 yen, I was happy to pick one up to try.

With a good amount of ice in a glass, this really felt like a drink from the izakaya.

Cold, sweet, really strong carbonation, and easy to drink, even though it was 8%.

I can see why this is popular, regardless where I will be drinking it.
