Gomaryu's Packaged HELL SPICY Ramen

Gomaryu is a ramen shop in the Okubo area in Tokyo, famous for their extremely spicy tantanmen.

I was curious as to if spicy their packaged noodles get.

To soup itself is not spicy. To make the spiciness, it comes with a bag of chili powder that includes jalapeno pepper.

In fact, the sesame based soup was super mild by itself. It is definitely one of the sweetest soups I have ever eaten!

With the whole pack of chili powder in, it gets spicy and it punches you in the face, but the mild soup also washes it away immediately.

I was a bit disappointed in how unexciting this ended up, but it still is a delicious noodle.
