Homeless Living Under Bridges

I am not sure when I started having the image that in Japan, homeless people live under bridges.

One day when I was walking across a big bridge, I realized these two huge blue tarps under the bridge.

It was clear immediately that they were shelters of homeless person/people, and the person was also hoarding a lot of plates, pots, baskets and other stuff that people have thrown out.

Right behind me when I took this photo above was a playground of many families playing next to the river with a ton of sakura trees.

The contrast was quite strong, and I wonder what goes through the minds of these homeless people listening to the sound of families on a daily basis...
