Kagawa Pref's Kintoki Carrot

I have never tried a Kintoki carrot until I found one at the veggie shop before New Years, and seeing one really surprised me.

These carrots from Kagawa Pref. are really really red. They are also the length of like 2-3 carrots of what I usually buy.

To my surprise, they were really sweet. Comparing with normal carrots, they are on the dry side, so rather than salad, they would be better in nabe and other kinds of stewed meals.

I bought one just because it looked so much like what Bugs Bunny chews on, but a cool carrot it was.
