How to Use Merupay at Supermarkets

If you are using merupay to pay for things at convenience stores, you would usually show them your phone and they scan your code and charge it.

When I used it at the supermarket, however, the process was the reverse.

Rather than them scanning my phone, I had to scan a QR code they had sitting on the counter.

I then put in the cost of my groceries, showed it to the cashier and hit confirm. They then would hit confirm on their end too and the transaction was done.

This user-scans-the-store's-code system is actually what is used in China with wepay and alipay. It is a very smart system that makes it easier for vendors to use their systems.
