Hyouketsu, Hawaiian Style

Hyouketsu is one of my favourite series of drinks in Japan. Not only are they affordable at about 100 yen a can, they are also working hard every season to bring out new flavours to the market.

Their Tabisuru series is one of the fruits of their effort. The themed drinks are based on different locations, and while you might argue about how authentic the themes are, they are new refreshing.

Their Hawaiian Style is a recent release with its flavour focused on pineapple. The scent of the golden fruit is there upon cracking the can open. The taste is a bit on the light side, as if you used the canned pineapple juice to mix with some spirits and soda water. I would prefer normal canned pineapple juice, but I am happy to support the pineapple-flavour which is underappreciated in Japan!
