My Self-motivating Doraemon Rewards at Work

Recently I purchased 8 of these Doraemon chocolate eggs where you get a little capsule with a toy, just like Kinder egg surprises. The reason why I dropped the money for it despite the chocolate being very mediocre is to use it as my own motivator at work.

The 8 eggs are now sitting on my desk, so every 2 weeks I will eat one and find out what the next egg is. Being around 200 yen each, it is a 1600 yen investment but I believe that my love for Doraemon and these little bi-weekly rewards will help my work weeks go faster! They will also permanently be displayed on my desk to make me smile every morning.

Do you give yourself any small rewards like this to help you get pass your weeks? I will be sharing the things I find in each egg, so stay tuned to see if I will actually get Doraemon! (I've had 4 of them before already and didn't get any Doreamons!)

JapanRamen

Games, manga, and ramen. Those three things make up my Tri-force lol.

I tried doing that but it's no use... I would eat it the next day (or within a week)

@Striffy HAHAHAHA. I think the trick is to find something that is delicious but not THAT delicious.

I admire your self-control! I'm terrible with these kinds of motivation structures if I'm the one in charge of my own rewards...

@hellonihon This is my first time doing something that seems like it will work. I tried things before that ended up costing too much, and sometimes I go the other extreme of 0 reward and me enjoying nothing. 200yen per 2 weeks seems pretty reasonable :D
