Marugoto Ichigo (whole strawberries)

Recently I've been quite into desserts with whipped cream, so I picked one of these up at the supermarket for 138yen. I've had the marugoto banana, which was a thick unsliced banana wrapped with sponge cake and filled with whipped cream.

Personally, I'm not a fan of using banana in desserts (except banana cake, and I do like bananas), so I thought I would like this strawberry version more.

It was really really creamy and the cake was spongy, both things you'd expect. What I didn't expect was how this "marugoto ichigo", literally translated as "whole strawberries" had only 3 strawberries, and it was disappointing that they weren't that sweet.

The good thing is that the unsweetness of the strawberries mean they weren't processed with artificial sweetness, and that would have made it too sweet considering all the cream. Plus. strawberries are much more expensive than bananas, so I understand the numbers. So it's just that those getting it should be getting it for the cream, and not so much for the strawberries.

Games, manga, and ramen. Those three things make up my Tri-force lol.

I was disappointed like this with the fruit sandwiches I sometimes see. they look like they are full of strawberries or other fruit, but it is actually a slice of fruit on top of cream. 3/4 of the sandwich is empty
