Vet costs in Japan

In June me and my husband adopted a cat. She is still very young and therefore gets sick easily. When she first arrived she immediately came down with diarrhea.

I visited a vet to get her checked out and ended up paying 13.000 Yen for getting her temperature checked, an injection and some oral medication.

A few weeks later she was having diarrhea again and I went to a different vet this time. The examination was almost the same as the first time and I again got oral medication but paid only 3.000 Yen.

I was surprised by how different prices can be.
