Museum of Local History

This museum holds a permanent exhibition on the history and culture of Chofu and special exhibitions, lectures, and a variety of other events.

The permanent exhibition shows earthenware and stone tools, unearthed from archeological sites in the city of Chofu, ancient manuscripts, old photographs, materials on the Pacific War, a seated statue of Kondo Isami, a replica of Kondo’s home, and many other exhibits related to local history.
