Handprint monument to Nikkatsu stars

The City of Chofu and the Tourist Association teamed up with Keio Corporation to create this handprint monument to Nikkatsu stars at the East Exit of Chofu Station. It expresses a unique aspect of the city’s heritage.

The piece commemorates Chofu as the site of the Nikkatsu Chofu movie studios with a unique handprint concept that showcases the city as a movie town. It was developed with the help of 64 supporters, including thirty actors, thirty actresses and four directors.

Monument size: About three meters across and about 2.26 meters high
