Being Civil

Being Civil photoIsn’t it just grand to be on the bus or the train and have an entire seat to yourself???!!

Whenever I get on either mode of transportation and finds that to be the case, despite each being full to capacity or persons are standing around because ‘there’s no available seats’, I find it to be totally blissful!

Thats the only way I wish to look at it because otherwise I’d be forced to recognize naivety or outright stupidity.

To date I’ve never seen the black from someone’s skin rubbed off of miraculous transfers to someone else; neither have I seen the reverse!

I would have thought that by now we all would have learnt that being one color or another is not a contagion and therefore will not spread to those around or whoever one comes in contact with.

Additionally without being disrespectful, we say “knowledge is power” but power to do or be what? Robots who cannot think or act for ourselves?  It is no longer enough to know. Applying what you know is real knowledge/learning.

Think for yourselves and just like the Rotary Club 4-way test which states “Of the things we think, say or do:

1. Is it the TRUTH?

2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?

3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Finally, to thine own self be true.
