Hats to you!

Since the heat is on I decided I needed to get a hat or two for the little one. I went into akachan honpo and man, did I get a feast for sore eyes! Hats and caps of so many shades, shapes and styles.

I got a really nice black one with Mickey Mouse ears and an elastic (strap?) to keep it secured on the head. Little man loves it even though my husband makes jokes that it looks like a ‘jockey’s hat’.

The second was a gift from his godmother. It features a wide round brim and a little flap at the back which does a great job in protecting the nape of the neck from the sun. I’ve noticed the nursery babies close to me with similar hats that I call the ‘front and back peak hats’. It too has cute ears , eyes and mouth on top.  

The only fault I find though is that this particular one does not come with a strap so little man keeps pulling it off his head. 

I haven’t gone shopping for any sun hat of my own as yet but I’ve seen the ladies here with some lovely ones. 

Where do you buy your sun hat? What types are best, fabric or straw?
