Enjoying the Summer in Yokohama

This is my third summer in Yokohama and even though it is hot and humid there are many fun activities available.  Starting in the bay area there are weekly festivals, food and drink activities, sports events, great fireworks, and much more.  I take a daily walk and usually end up at one of 100's of local parks.  Here you can watch the locals and learn a lot about the culture.  There are a variety of museums throughout the city filled with activities and history.  Even though we are close to Tokyo we are a world apart. Out streets are wide with excellent sidewalks and the people do not seem to be in a hurry like they are in Tokyo.  Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan with a family like atmosphere.  If you are considering a trip to Japan visit my blog reywatjapan.blogspot.jp to see and read about this wonderful city.
