The description
This product is a cleverly designed sliding box of Milk Chocolate, by Meiji, with twenty six individually wrapped bite sized pieces of delicious chocolate.
The good
I buy this product relatively frequently because there several things I like about it. This time, I remembered to take a photo so I could finally write a review about it! One of the things I most like about this product is the box. The box is relatively hard, so it travels well in a handbag or luggage or the shopping bag! Moreover, it slides open and closed. And when you close it again the product within is fully protected. Again, very useful when carrying it around in a bag. There are 26 pieces, so even with sharing, this box of milk chocolate tends to last a few days.
The not so good
The 26 pieces are individually wrapped within the box. It's very nice wrapping, gold on the outside. However, this creates not only rubbish, but is also not very ecologically friendly either. The paper is recycable though, so make sure you pop it in the paper recycling. Same with the box. The outer layer of plastic it comes in is also a waste and I don't think it is necessary as each of the chocolate pieces are individually wrapped. It may not be as appealing to others though if it didn't come in a sealed plastic covering. The plastic can also be recycled. All that said, I will buy this product again, and again, and again!
Former nickname was "Saitama". Changed it to save confusion on place review posts! Irish, 20+ years in Japan! I also write on my personal website: insaitama.com

Yep, the plastic packaging is a turn-off, but once in a while as a treat for friends and colleagues, this is a great treat!
