The X Fried Potato at the Ministop Convenience Store's hot counters around Japan are a fast favorite in my family. I really love how they got the crispiness on the outside, but with a light fluffy interior. I also like that they are only lightly salted. I appreciate that the size is quite good relative to the price. Sorry the photo in this post doesn't do the size justice, because I only thought to take a photo after we delved in! They cost 298 yen on average (prices may vary slightly by region). They are a satisfying, quick snack.

Although the price is reasonable and fair, it is not a cost you would want to be paying too often. Which is probably just as well as this type of fried fast food product can be quite addictive! Also, another negative is that this particular X shape, with a crispy outside and fluffy inside, is only available at Ministop Convenience Stores and they are not as abundant as other chains of convenience stores in Japan. Every now and then I go out of my way to visit Ministop to pick up either Ministop's potatoes or their ice-cream.
