On Protein Day, let's take a look at some of the foods in Japan that are high in protein. Japan offers an incredible variety of protein-rich foods that are easy to incorporate into everyday meals. Dairy products such as millk, cheese and yogurt provide high-quality protein along with fats, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamins, making them a simple and balanced choice.

Traditional Japanese foods also make it intake protein without much effort. For example, tofu, edamame and natto; staples that are widely available at supermarkets around the country. Fish such as saba (mackarel), sanma (Pacific saury) and salmon offer lean protein and healthy fat and are common in home cooking and lunch sets.

Convenience stores have embraced teh trend too. Items like Greek yogurt, soy & health drinks and "salad chicken" provide quick, portable protein options. With so many options, it's easy to add protein to daily meals in Japan.
