The description
A pack of twelve frozen gyoza, that can be cooked from frozen in less than ten minutes. They do not require water not oil to cook. Reportedly Japan's best selling gyoza.
The good
On the packet of the Ajinomoto frozen gyoza they claim that its Japan's number one seller (of frozen gyoza). I would well believe it. Its not unusual for my local shops to be sold out of Ajinomoto gyoza from time to time. However, they are a gyoza that is sold in most shops and supermarkets around Japan. I've tried several different frozen gyoza over the years and it remains in my top three. The other two in my top three are quite expensive though, so I only buy them from time to time. Apart from that, any other gyoza I've tried don't come close to Ajinomoto's for taste and convenience.
The not so good
As above, sometimes my local shop sells out of them, which means I then have to drive around a few shops to find some in stock! Or wait for another day to purchase them. But honestly, it doesn't bother me much as I only buy them a couple of times a month. The price has gone up this year, but that has happened with dozens of products, and its not enough for me to deduct a star or stop purchasing them. Unless they go up even more in price, I will continue to buy Ajinomoto's frozen gyoza over other cheaper brands or options.
