A shout out to little sisters everywhere

Today, and September 6th annually, is Little Sister Day in Japan. In Japanese it's called "Imoto no Hi" . "Imoto" is the Japanese for little sister, the particle "no" acts as a possessive marker, functioning like the English "'s" or "of" to indicate possession or association, and "hi" is the Japanese for day.

The date was registered in 1991 by Kunio Hatada (1944-1996), a manga artist who was also researched the effects of siblings. He chose September 6th as the date because it is the day before the middle day of Virgo (August 23rd to September 23rd), which is said to be the most suitable day astrologically.

One of the cool ways this anniversary is marked as with the "Japan Little Sister Award" every year. The award is given to the "little sister" who has been most active that year. Do you have a little (younger) sister deserving of such an award!? Regardless, it's a great day to give a shout out to all the little sisters wherever they are in the world.
