The description

This product is a giant triple cheese tart from Costco. It is a bakery dessert made with a blend of three cheeses. It is very reasonably priced at just 1580 yen.

The good

This Kirkland Triple Cheese Tart is one of the best products at Costco in my humble opinion. Overall, I actually don't find Costco that cheap, but they do have some items that are considerably cheaper - and this is one of them. This giant triple cheese tart only costs 1463 yen before tax or 1580 yen after tax. I have never seen a dessert this size for that cheap in Japan before. I also like that, although fresh, the shelf life is quite good. We bought this on Saturday and it is good until Wednesday. We bought size because we had family visiting and between my in-laws and myself there were 12 of us. Even still, we didn't eat it in one night! Which thanks to its long shelf life is not a problem. For that reason, I would buy it again even just for my family. We'd easily finish it before the expiry date is up.

The not so good

While this size is great for my family, especially with my parents-in-law living next door, it may be too large for a smaller household, even with a long expiry date. It depends on how much cheesecake you can eat in a few days! The thing is, apart from being large, it is also really filling. Initially, we all took medium sized slices, but struggled to finish what was on our plate. A small slice is sufficient for after dinner. The other negative thing is that if you take more than a small slice, the taste gets a bit repetitive - it's a bit too one note. You could add cream to enhance the flavor. Overall, though, this is a great desert for my family, and I would buy it again.
