The description
This product is a collaboration between Milmake and Furuya, creating a delicious caramel drink with 50% raw milk. Smooth and creamy with a light caramel flavor.
The good
This product is a collaboration between Milmake and Furuya, combining Milmake's classic school-lunch Milmake coffee flavor with the rich milk base of Furuya Milk. It is made with more than 50% raw milk. It has a gentle richness that balances sweetness with the coffee notes nicely. My elementary school aged child particularly likes it as it has a familiar taste, the coffee is minimal and the caramel adds an easily palatable sweetness. It is a good size, maybe a bit on the big size if anything.
The not so good
Although long termers in Japan and native Japanese probably find this product nostalgic and thus more attractive, newbies to Japan won't get the same familiar feeling from the product. Also, while this milk coffee is quite sweet and popular with kids, it may be too much for those who prefer lighter dairy drinks. The packaging is single‑use plastic, which isn’t eco‑friendly. Because it contains 50%+ raw milk and added sugar it may feel heavy for people sensitive to dairy richness. The flavor is pleasant, but the sweetness and richness make it more of an occasional treat than an everyday drink.
