We don't have a Ministop convenience store near us anymore, so it had been a while since I had been in one. I noticed these Tokachi Hash Sticks in the heating unit at the counter straight away. I love hash potatoes and these are a mini version, bite size that enticed me. So, I gave them a go! They are really good. I loved how crisp they are and, although I don't normally like a lot of salt, the saltiness was very satisfying too. The size is pretty decent for the price. I looked it up online tonight and it looks like this product was only introduced a few months ago. Hopefully as many people as I like it and they stay on the menu permanently.

This product is only available in MInistop chain of convenience store and, if this area of Saitama Prefecture is anything to go by, Ministop are not as common as 7-Eleven, Family Mart or Lawson. They are not a bad price at 298 yen, but you wouldn't be buying them frequently at that price either. They are very salty, so you wouldn't want to be eating many of them. But truth be told, they were so good that I actually considered buying another pack straight after finishing the first pack! But I did share some of my original pack. It would be great if there were different sizes, including a LL one that would be good for sharing.
