A Day for Soy Latte, particularly Morinaga Milk's Mt Rainier

Today, and October 13th annually, is Morinaga Milk Industry Soy Latte 森永乳業ソイラテの日 Day in Japan. It is a commemorative day established by (as you may have guessed) Morinaga Milk Industry! The purpose is to promote the awareness of soy lattes. It's kind of cool the way they chose the date for the anniversary: October 1st is Coffee Day and October 12th is Soy Milk Day; add them together and you get 13, as in, the 13th of October!

A soy latte is made by combining coffee, often espresso, with soy milk instead of regular milk. While a traditional café latte uses dairy milk, the soy version offers a plant-based alternative with its own distinctive flavor and texture.

Morinaga Milk Industry sells a soy latte under its popular Mt. RAINIER brand. The drink blends espresso made from high-quality Arabica coffee beans with generous amounts of soy milk, creating a rich coffee taste while keeping sweetness relatively mild. Reportedly, the drink is also cholesterol-free and lower in calories than some milk-based alternatives.

You will find some of the Mt. Rainier range of coffee based drinks reviewed on City-cost.
