The description

This product, Haribo Chamallows Soft Kiss, which are available in Don Quijote (Donki), combines fluffy marshmallows with a smooth chocolate coating. Pop them in the fridge for a crunch finish.

The good

I almost didn't buy these appealing Chamallows Soft Kiss by Haribo, because of the high price. At 1580 yen they are a lot more expensive than what I would normally pay for a pack of treats. But my youngest daughter pitched them well. She explained that they are all over the Internet and because they are so popular it is rare to come by them. I was sold. And despite the exorbitant price, I would buy them again! They were that good. Plus, there was more in the pack than I expected. There are at least two in the packet, making one less than 100 yen. But in the shop, just looking at the packet, I though there were only 15 which would have made them 100 yen each. I am so glad that I indulged my daughter and splurged, because I probably ended up eating more of them than anyone else! I like them most at room temperature, but on my daughter's advice we put half of them in the fridge. Once chilled they offer a different texture, as the chocolate hardens. She prefers them out of the fridge.

The not so good

The biggest downfall is the price. It is hard to justify paying that much for a pack of goodies that can easily be eaten with minutes if there are a group of people sharing them. As above, I have no regrets that I bought a pack and I would buy them again. However, I will only be buying them a handful of times a year as a treat. The other big downfall is that they seem to be very hard to come by. I don't think I had ever seen them before today. I am sure that Don Quijote (Donki) is not the only place that stocks them, but it sounds like they sell out quickly in any store that sells them. We visited on a Monday morning and there were dozens of staff stocking shelves, so we may have been lucky that we arrived shortly after the Chamallows were delivered.
