I really love these bite sized 'Saku Yama Choco Jiro' biscuits available widely throughout Japan. What I didn't know until recently is that the manufacturers created a mascot with a backstory for these biscuits, which gives them an added bit of charm. The presentation is really cute too. The reason I personally love them is that the biscuits have a good dollop of chocolate on them - just on the top - with crunchy biscuit underneath. Its particularly nice chocolate too. And the contrast of the chocolate to biscuit is perfect. They are light, crunchy, and sweet. And this share pack with six mini‑packs are perfect for sharing - in a family or small group.

While the share pack is useful to share in a family or small group, they are not suitable for a larger group or family as there are only six in the pack. And each packet only has a few mini biscuits in them and as they are only bite sized, they are not very filling. On the flip side, it makes them good for a snack between meals when you don't want to overindulge. The individual packets also create a lot of packaging waste. At this time of year, the chocolate melts pretty quickly and they don't taste quite the same out of the fridge. So, what I do is store them under the air conditioning!
