These limited-edition Spider-man New York Cheesecake Kitkat really stood out in the supermarket aisle thanks to the really dynamic Spider-man artwork and bright packaging. I was drawn to them instantly. Apparently, there are three different outer bag designs which have become collectible items. In the store I bought them in (Ozam), they only had the one, pictured in this post. It was a lovely surprise then when I opened them to find that the wrapping of each individual Kitkat also features unique Spider-Man graphics and messages. Supposedly, the flavor, 'New York Cheesecake', was chosen because New York is Spider-man's hometown. The flavor pairs really well with the crunch of the wafer. It is creamy and sweet.

These Spider-man Kitkat are more expensive than regular Kitkat, presumably because of the special design of the outer packaging as well as the unique designs on the individual wrappers. They cost 348 yen, before tax, in Ozam. I normally buy my Kitkat in Welcia, where they are usually about 298 yen. I don't know how much they are normally in Ozam though. The cheese smell is really strong when you open the wrapper on the individual bars. Stronger than any cheese flavored chocolate product I've ever had before. Once you put it in your mouth though it contains the smell! I think collectors will love this for the packaging alone, but casual buyers may feel it’s more about the collaboration than the flavor.
