The description
A festive, limited-edition assortment of Tirol Chocolates released on November 17th for Valentines Day, with 34 individually wrapped Tirol various flavored chocolates.
The good
Tirol chocolates are generally very good. I do like their chocolate, particularly the "milk" flavor, but they have two flavors I don't like! The size is really good. I was buying this particular one to add to a medium sized present and it worked well. But generally when I buy it, I buy it for sharing between my four kids. So they can get about 8 to 9 each, which is a good number to get! They won't eat them all in one go either, so the cup of chocolates lasts a couple of days, sometimes longer. The packaging is cute, albeit wasteful.
The not so good
The wrapping is limited edition for Valentines Day. While cute, I am sure limited edition wrapping adds to the cost of this product. It is also not very eco friendly because the cup is not reusable, well not as a cup for a hot beverage or juice, but we do use it for other things. For example, my children bringing it into school to use on their art projects or, in the past, they have used it as a pencil holder, among other things. There is also an unnecessary plastic wrap on it as well, which adds to waste. The price has gone up a lot since last year, but that is probably as much to do with the cacao shortage as it has to do with inflation in Japan.
Former nickname was "Saitama". Changed it to save confusion on place review posts! Irish, 20+ years in Japan! I also write on my personal website: insaitama.com
