The description
This is a Fujipan (フジパン) Snack Sandwich, known for soft, crustless, sealed sandwiches that are easy to eat on the go. Inside there is "tsu-chicken" (tuna / chicken) with egg.
The good
I usually buy the Yamazaki bakery snack sandwiches when I want a sandwich on the go, but I picked up this Fujipan one for a change, because it was ten yen cheaper than the Yamazaki bakery one. Moreover, I chose it because Fujipan is rarely stocked in my local supermarket, so I wanted to try it for a change. I was most happy with the price. The taste wasn't bad either, but I much prefer a snack sandwich with just egg. I don't know if Fujipan offer that - I usually buy the Yamazaki bakery egg snack sandwich and that is what I am used to and what I prefer. That one has a fresher feel to it than the Fujipan one.
The not so good
Not only does the Yamazaki bakery egg snack sandwich taste fresher, it also has a nicer texture. I wasn't too pushed about the texture of the Fujipan chicken and egg snack sandwich. It maybe that I am just not used to it. I also though the bit of tuna / chicken was a bit pointless. Fujipan is hard to come by in my part of Saitama Prefecture. Most of my local shops only stock the Yamazaki bakery snack sandwiches. I would like to try others in the Fujipan range, just to see how they fair. Overall, I would buy this again if the Yamazaki bakery egg flavor wasn't available and / or if the price remains cheaper than Yamazaki bakery's.
