Among the anniversaries is one dedicated to the Big Whopper, the iconic hamburger by Burger King. Burger King Japan created the anniversary in its honor. The name “Whopper” carries meanings such as “something extremely large” or even “a big boast” or “a tall tale,” making April Fool’s Day a fitting choice for this playful anniversary.
The Whopper first appeared in 1957 and has evolved over the decades, becoming one of the most recognizable items in the global fast‑food world. Burger King proudly calls itself the “Home of the Whopper,” emphasizing the burger’s central place in its identity.
